A two-day workshop facilitated by Lynda Shalagan

This workshop will explore an interpretation of the natural world in terms of texture, depth and design. Through an emphasis on colour, value and surface manipulation the student will learn a comprehensive variety of techniques and processes that will enable a realistic representation of a desired subject or a more abstracted rendition. Working from both photographs and still life arrangement or Plein air (depending on weather), the student will create small sketches and studies as well as larger, more complete works. The workshop is suitable for the beginner or more advanced painter using either acrylic or oil paint.
